Tia provides valuable contributions at CGT and regularly assists in the preparation and prosecution of patent applications, primarily in the mechanical and software-related arts. She also works on trademark selection and procurement projects.

Prior to entering law school, Tia was employed as a Patent Examiner with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. She managed all aspects of patent prosecution for over 100 patent applications and ensured compliance with USPTO guidelines. Tia also has significant experience in project management and patent-related activities for various large companies.

During law school, Tia served as an intern for the Office of Technology Transfer at The University of Akron. She was responsible for managing intellectual property docketing activities and assisting in the evaluation, marketing and patent landscaping for the various projects.

Tia is active in the IP community and is a member of The Cleveland Intellectual Property Law Association (CIPLA) and Intellectual Property and Technology Law Association (IPTLA).
